Dogs and poker

  

      Today I got the band to together for practice  

   but for some reason nobody would play. My owner

   left out cards and some dog treats on the table. 

   The next thing you know here we are playing poker.  

One year

 

      As of today I've been with you owner for a 

   full year. As legend has it, my family was so

   excited to meet me, that they were speeding

   and got pulled over by the cops. Or they got

   pulled over when they were going to see a 

   monster movie that opened that day. I'm going

   with number one.

    

The Return of happy dog

  

  

       All of this bad weather has been making 

    me hyper lately. Today my owner just finished 

    playing with me and I'm starting to calm down.

    Of course now I can't stop doing the happy dog

    smile.

Car trip

 

  

        I went on a car trip a few days ago and I managed 

    to get a window seat . Then at Tractor Supply 

    everybody was gushing over me and I got a new

    bag of dog food. Dog food, a bag of dog food 

    that weighs almost as much as me! Although 

    my owner wouldn't let me open the bag in the 

    middle of the store and go to town.

    

Band practice

  

  

         Today I was at band practice. We call our band,

    The House Dog's. Of course I seem to be the only

    dog who can actually make a sound. I keep on telling

    the band to play something but, they just seem to sit as

    still as a rock. On the flip side, I had to kick Shadow out 

    of the band because she made to much noise. 

New collar

 

   For those who have read my blog before, you might 

 have noticed my classy pink collar.

      Well, do to a mishap with a boy dog on the other side of

    the fence and me snapping my collar, I got a new one. 

    

      This one is made out of parachute cord and can actually stay

    on my neck( the other one would fall down). Of course my

    owner had to make it himself, but he said that it works better

    than the other collar. On the plus side, if I'm ever in a dangerous 

    spot and need rope, I will always have some on me.( To bad I

    can't untie it) 

Dog training : fears of balloons

  

  

       I have found a new fear, BALLOONS! Two 

     members of my pack had a birthday and there

     they were, just floating in the air. So all day my

     owner has been trying to help me face my fears,

     but all I want to do is hide in my kennel ( or 

     under the table,under the couch, or in my 

     owner's bed ). Worst of all , shadow has been

     trying to steal all of the attention from the pack.

     

Photo editing 101

   

   

         Lately I've been working on photo editing

     and I found something interesting. If I put this

     picture in black and white, it makes me look 

     lazier then before. Also, in black and white I

     can make half of my face disappear.

  

        

Lazy dog day

  

  

       Just another lazy dog day today. I would say that 

     is the best part about being a house dog. You get 

     to take nap when ever you get tired and there is

     nothing the red kangaroo can do about it. Doesn't

     everybody want to be a dog? 

Tennis beats all

   So today I thought I would test myself and see what 

 my favorite dog toy is.

    Through a tough debate with the dog toys,

  I am glad to say that the tennis ball is the best!

Cat patrol

 

 

     The stray cats keep on coming into our yard 

   and it is somehow my job to keep them away 

   from the plants. So I tried to make a bargain

   with them. The cats didn't go for the" Stay out

   of the yard or I will chase you" act. Then I tried

   the" I will give you some table scraps I you let

   my plants be" but that didn't work. So as my 

   last resort, I - wait is that a CAT!

The Halter collar

  

         Today I was working with my owner using the

    Halter collar. I tend to listen better with this 

    then the regular collar( which I'm wearing under it).

    Yet it is not as ruff as the pincher collar. Of course,

    the Halter gets on my nerves more. Then I start doing

    this wired run jump thing until my owner stops me.

The stuffed animal

  

        I made a new friend today and she smells like feet.

     I know I'm not the cleanest dog, but this is kind of 

     gross. That might be what I get for trying to take this

     dog away from the little kids. But hey, if it falls on

     the floor then it's far game.

Kennel training

     Oh great, my owner has been working on

   kennel training lately. That means, he's looking

   for resons to sick me in here. Now when 

   someone goes to run the vacuum cleaner,

   I get stuck in here. To top that of, my owner

   says this is good training for a dog show. 

   When he says that,he's talking about when

   I get stuck in here between events (Rally, 

   obedience, and showmanship).

Happy dog

  

       What is it with this angry cat thing ( or was it

     Grouchy ) ? How come you never hear about happy

     cat,or happy dog? What about, Autumn The Happy

    House Dog.

  

Sick day

  

        Today when my owner woke up he was, well

    as sick as a dog( I see no irony ). So I thought 

    I'd be a good dog and take care of him. And how 

    does he reward me, by covering me in his tissues.

    Oh great it's going to be a long day.

    

Dog training at the park

     Today I was doing dog training at the park. Right now

   I'm sitting in the heel position, watching my owner for 

   the next command. Yet best of all, when I do good I 

   a chicken liver treat. And to think, all I have to do is look

   up at him.

Stuck in the basket

  

  

        So umm, funny story. I was playing with 

   my rope today.Then I threw it in the air and 

   it landed in the basket. As you might have 

   guessed,I jumped after the rope. Now as 

   seen in the picture, I happen to be stuck.

   Someone , anyone ? Oh and now my owner

   can't stop laughing. Great, just great.

The yoga ball

      Today I was running in the house and I tried jump over

  the yoga ball. I got stuck, then fell on my face to the chorus

  of my owner's laughter. Now I have to sit on the ball while 

  my owner is horribly trying to get a picture. Yet he can't stop

  laughing at me when I start rolling away.

  

Muddy day

 

     Oh joy, another rainy and muddy day. That 

   means, it is time to roll in the mud and chase

   a cat with a stripy red hat. Who I will not let 

   come inside.

Episode VI- Return of the Sun

 

  

      The sun came back today and I'm basking in it. 

    No more cold days for this dog. Just warm naps in

    the sun for me.

When it was nice outside

   I remember when it was nice outside. Me and shadow would go on long walks. 

   Now all I can do is stare out the window when it storms. Will it ever be sunny 

 again?

Cold day

It looked cold outside today, so I took a nap.

Protecting the little kid toys

  

       I'm protecting the little kid toys from that other dog.

    I think she is out to eat them all ( or that could me).

     I have tried my paw at modern art, and now 

   it is finished.

Nerves of Steel

 

    My owner won't let me eat until I sit here for 

  a full minute. He says that he is working on my

  nerves of steel. I say,let's eat so fast that are

  heads are blurry.

       I just took a walk and now I feel a nap coming on.

     When dogs were wild, they would hunt for their food.

    Nowadays we try to open the bag.  

Rawhide

   

        Nothing like a rawhide to start off the day.

Box of pain

   

         This darn thing won't shut off ! I don't know why my 

      owner put this thing by me and told me to stay. Some 

      sort of dog training is what he said it was. I say, 

      he was just being mean.

Bath time

 

   

        Why do people give dogs a bath? It is like they

     want us to be a disgrace to wolves. 

Food training

     

           Great, I had to do dog training before

       I could eat today. Meanwhile, the fat border 

       collie ( Shadow ) got to gorge her self on dog 

       food. What is wrong with my owner?

Rainy day

   

         Great I had to wear the raincoat this morning. Can't 

      a dog be a dog and get wet? Worst of all, Shadow didn't 

      have to wear it when she went outside.

Yoga time

   

    I thought I would do some doggie yoga today.If 

 you just thought " Doggie yoga, it looks like you 

 are trying to slip your collar." Then you're on the right

 path.

A Nice day

   

     I was having a nice time outside today until, that dog

  had to come out here. I was just trying lay in the sun then

  she had to come out here. Worst of all, she was talking to

  the Germansheperd over the fence.

Checking my Facebook

     

             I'm up checking my Facebook this morning. 

         I can't believe that the German shepherd from

         next door just defriended me. Wow, I just found

         another Pharaoh hound cousin. That would be

         the seventh this week. Yet none of them will

         subscribe to my blog.
